Wandering the Redwoods

During my trip to California in January, I also got to go hiking in the famous redwoods. The first hiking destination was Redwood Regional Park.

The tails were beautiful. W ended up going a little farther than we originally meant to because we made a wrong turn at one point, but we got to see some beautiful scenery. In hindsight, this wasn't the best idea for me, since (unbeknownst to me at the time) I had a torn ACL, meniscus, and sprained MCL...oops.

We then went over to redwood peak and hiked up to the marker and had lunch at the top. The park was full of dogs because apparently, it is a very popular place for dog walkers to go. You can even become a trail-certified dog-walker.

Right down the road from the peak is a beautiful overlook that you can see all of San Francisco, and even the golden gate fridge from on a clear day. Some people were picnicking there. I highly suggest doing so if you have time.

But we were running late for dinner, so off we went to get In-N-Out. What is a California trip without In-N-Out? So, we went to a spot in my friend's hometown and watched the sunset.

So, go for the adventure, stay for the trees, and never forget to dillydally.
